Job title: Cafe Assistant

Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly, confident person who loves being around people to join the team!

We are a small, family run business, with a passion for quality, and supporting other small, local businesses. We are only a small team so the ideal candidate will be reliable and approachable, with a proven record of your reliability via a reference. A positive attitude, excellent attention to detail and working intuitively are also a must.

We are only an 18 cover cafe, however we can get very busy, so you must be confident, organised and able to multi-task at times. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our cafe and delivering high-quality sustenance to our lovely, local customers.

Some experience in a similar role is preferred, however we are willing to provide in depth training to the right person.

This is a customer facing role. Duties to include, but not limited to:

• Waiting table service
• Making and serving barista coffee and other drinks
• Operating the computerised till system and processing payments
  
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation, adhering to food safety regulations
• Washing up & deep cleaning
• Collaborating with the team to ensure efficient service
• Assist the kitchen with simple food preparation, and serving food to customers
• Co-ordinating bookings and takeaway orders
• Ensuring our customer service standards are maintained at all times

The details:

• Hours: a minimum of 12 hours per week, over at least two days, to include a minimum of one Saturday per month. More hours will be available on an ad-hoc basis to cover holidays and seasonal changes.

• Applicants must be 18 or over
• No Sunday hours as we are closed!

Paid trial shifts will be arranged to determine suitability for the role.
